sunrise clouds

Saturday 20th March. I sit on the deck, feet up on the railings, at sunrise each morning. This what I saw today, these are the sunrise clouds on this Indian Ocean morning a few degrees south of the Equator.
Always look from the bottom photo up.

  1. Hi, Maggie:
I thought you might like to know that I have used one of your sunrise pictures as a 'background' for my computer. It is the one with the towering clouds with a magnificent gold edge where the sun is hitting it. No ocean, no ship structure, just the cloud and the glorious light. It is quite superb. Thanks a heap. I follow everyone's blogs so faithfully that I almost feel that I am there with you. I am about to become jealous for the first time since you all set sail because I have always wanted to go to Mauritius. I don't know why, actually. Perhaps because there is something astonishingly romantic about a little island set in the vast Indian Ocean half way between two enormous continents. perhaps I am growing older than I thought I was. Did you know that we in Glorious Ont are having an astonishing rogue spring - far too early and I'm sure we will revert to the cold, slushy, monotonous win ter in a day or two. Take thousands of pictures of Mauritius. See you in about another two months! David.
